One of my main quirks for me is very noticeable and its the twitch on the left side of my face. It runs in my family and there are a few different ones that I have, but the main ones are that I pull my neck, I wink, I scrunch my nose, and I move my ears. All of these are done on the left side of my face and they range in how bad they are. When I'm out in public it gets bad but when I'm alone they vanish, it is who I am and I try not to hide it because it will never go away and I fully accept that.
To me, I am someone with a lot of quirks. One of my very obvious quirks is that I stutter sometimes and when it happens it is very embarrassing. Whenever it happens it almost seems as if the words and letters are at the tip of my tongue, but my brain wont let them be uttered smoothly. It happens more often when I am nervous or if i'm excited about something. My family knows me for stuttering a lot since I was little, and it surprisingly makes me stand out because it always made my family laugh. After a while, I became content with the stuttering and would do it on purpose sometimes to make people laugh which makes me happy.
When I start to become nervous or i am put in an awkward situation, a quirk I seem to have is I switch over to an accent. Back in the day I did it purposely to lighten the mood around me and make people laugh but as I grew up, i began to do it by accident, like it was an on switch. This stands out because people are not used to a goofy girl speaking with an arab accent and people seem to get thrown off by it. Sometimes, I do it in the worse situations. Once I was talking to an important supervisor and i didn't even realize until after that I had switched into an arab accent and I had to explain why I was talking like that. It was funny.
Diamond DeBarros I have many quirks, however one of the quirks that stands out to me is definitely the fact that I am very blunt. I pretty much say whatever it is that is on my mind. Whatever it is that everyone is thinking, I am usually the person to say it. Not many people have the ability, nor the desire to say what they assume most people aren't going to say. They do this because they don't want all the attention to be on them, as well as not wanting judgement. I, however, am not the type of person that cares for the judgement of others. That has never been something that has bothered me. I appreciate that about myself a great deal. This is apart of who I am because I have realized that a lot of my family is that way. Not only that, but it seems that being this way has a lot of benefits of it's own. It reminds me of the saying, "closed mouths don't get fed".
